It’s hard to do justice to the Agapanthus Gardens in Normandy with a single photo, so I’ve chosen a picture of one of the interiors: slightly bizarre but rather wonderful. The garden has been expanded since our previous visit 3 years ago and is even more lovely. It makes the most of a relatively small space by an ingenious use of paths and barriers through the hydrangeas and agapanthus (just beginning to bloom) among many others. One of the nicest things is the way chairs are scattered throughout the garden, inviting a meditation or a doze.
